Dr. Anu Ondhia is an experienced optometrist, globally sought speaker and patient advocate with a specialized focus in ocular pathology, clinical research and surgical co-management.
After completing her optometric degree at Aston University (UK) in 2007, she pursued residency training under world-renowned ophthalmic subspecialists in cornea, pediatric and retina at Queen’s Medical Centre (UK). She completed the International Optometric Bridging Program at the University of Waterloo and has since continued to practice full-scope medical eyecare in the GTA.
Dr. Ondhia actively contributes to the field by training and educating optometric and medical students as well as mentoring clinical staff and subspecialized ophthalmologists as part of the Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Surgery (GAASS) fellowship under Dr. Ike Ahmed. She has held posts as Clinical Optometric Director at TLC Missisauga/Oakville and adjunct clinical instructor and site lead for the University of Waterloo Optometric Externship Program.
She is currently involved in clinical and research practice at Prism Eye Institute as a valued member of the GAASS team, additionally consulting on surgical cases with TLC and Vision Group. She continues to champion optometric education via virtual platforms as well as collaborating with and speaking for a number of industry partners globally.
