Michelle Khan, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Michelle Khan is a cataract, refractive, and oculoplastic surgeon based in the Toronto area. 

Dr. Khan received her Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University, where she was the recipient of the Loran Scholarship. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine from Queen’s University. She completed her Residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto. She received further training in Oculoplastics at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England.

Over the course of her career she has received several awards and accolades, including the award of excellence in ophthalmology upon graduation from Queen’s School of Medicine. She has also received various awards for her surgical skills and her contributions to research. In recognition of her service to the medical profession, she was recently appointed Senior Fellow at Massey College, the distinguished post-graduate academic community at the University of Toronto. 

Dr. Khan is passionate about humanitarian work and has been extensively involved in global medical outreach, having performed several medical missions to conflict-stricken parts of the world. She is the current Chair of the St John Ophthalmic Association of Canada, and is actively involved in teaching and lecturing at the St John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem. 

Dr. Khan has published extensively in leading peer-reviewed journals. She is an accomplished public speaker and has delivered numerous lectures and presentations at national and international conferences.  She is currently on staff at Trillium Health Partners and is faculty at University of Toronto Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences.
